We stopped processing Next Generation: the paperwork is sometimes impossible

Why A Todo Sol stopped filing Next Generation in the Valencian Community: impossible documentation packs, ten-day remediation letters, and a grant that can clash with the tax deduction.

We watch every string of panels, every night →

We are not washing our hands of this. We stopped processing Next Generation in the Valencian Community (the call closed at the end of February 2026) because that route destroys your time, is sometimes impossible to document properly, and can also hurt you elsewhere — including the tax deduction. We ask one thing only: keep the deductions and close the subsidy front.

A real requirement notice (anonymised): this lands on you

A typical remediation requirement from the Generalitat on Next Generation EU energy-efficiency aids for homes (ORDER 9/2024). No personal data. Typical deadline: ten working days. If you do not answer, you drop out.

In a single letter they asked, among other things:

  • A “correct” re-form because energy data did not match the EPCs.
  • A prior EPC with a technician visit before works started, registered, with XML.
  • Photos and a description of the existing thermal installations to “offset” with PV.
  • A signed contract and a line-item quote / measurements / unit prices / VAT; sometimes three offers.
  • DNSH, DACI, Commission/OLAF/Court of Auditors/EPPO access declarations, de minimis / double funding, PRTR… also signed by co-owners.
  • Land registry note / deeds, co-owner and community authorisation for the panels.
  • Collective registration, bank ownership, final rating, later EPC (same programme), memo with azimuth, tilt, production, month-by-month offsets, REBT, schedule…
  • Invoices + bank proofs, licences and fees, start/end minutes, before/after photos with captions, PV legalisation.

That is not bureaucracy “for the installer”. A large share falls on the homeowner: co-owners, community, deeds, bank, photos, deadlines. And the installer still burns dozens of hours so that, three years later, you may collect a cheque that — if you claimed the full deduction — Hacienda can claw back via the cadastre.

Why we prefer the tax deduction

In the Valencian Community, well-documented improvements can stack a state deduction and a regional deduction that, on the eligible base, approach 100% of the investment. No three-year wait. No DNSH pack. No community minutes for a subsidy. No ten-day remediation letter.

Next Generation is a long, fragile path that competes on the same euros as the deduction (you must exclude the subsidised amount from the deduction base). That is why we stopped processing it and why we say it clearly before you sign.

What we still do

  • We install and legalise properly.
  • We help with the paperwork that does make sense: deduction documentation, certificates, clear invoices.
  • We do not sell you a Next Generation mirage that arrives late, incomplete, or with a tax sting attached.
